- Taylor Brown Added 2017-08-08★ ★ ★ ★ ★The oldest banding station in North America and right in the heart of birding country, with parent charity organization Bird Studies Canada right around the corner (which is also worth a visit). As a hotspot for rarities as well as hundreds of resident and regular migrant species, this place is a no-brainer for anyone interested in birds. Take your kids for a short and easy nature walk on the trails, stop into the banding lab during migration season to watch and learn how all the research is done, or pop by to the observation platform for a quick scope around the beautiful marsh... LPBO has something for everyone, and you just might see your favourite bird.
